MK Electric has launched Connected Power, a system that allows individual socket control via building energy management systems (BEMS). The solution targets commercial buildings where operators want granular control over power consumption at socket level rather than circuit level. Each socket connects to the BEMS network, enabling facility managers to monitor and cut power remotely to specific outlets during off-peak hours or when rooms are unoccupied. The system is aimed at offices, retail spaces and public buildings looking to reduce standby consumption and improve energy reporting accuracy.
