Many electric car drivers completely overlook the reporting requirement starting at 3.7 kW charging power or submit incomplete documents. From 11 kW onwards, approval from the grid operator is also required – if this is missing, insurance problems can arise in the event of damage. The automobile club advises clarifying early with the installer who will handle the registration.
